Laura Linney was born in New York in New York on the 5th of February 1964. She is an American actress who is known for her ability to portray tough characters, but also vulnerable. Linney was born into a theatre family, her father, Romulus Linney writing plays. She graduated from Brown University in 1986 and later studied at the Arts Theatre School in Moscow as well as graduated from the Juilliard School (M.F.A.) New York City.
